Searching For Happiness? Here’s Where To Find It.

Our happiness always seems to be relegated to some future time when “things will be better”. The truth of the matter is;

Putting off your happiness until you reach some future goal is one sure way to guarantee your unhappiness. Being happy with who you are and where you are at is something you must do in the present moment. That is where true happiness lies.

As you get fit, be happy with and love your body. Be content with your progress no matter how fast or slow it is.  Learn and grow from what you perceive as setbacks and failures. Simply adjust your movements and workouts so that they work for you. These are ways you can design happiness into your life. Breathe in deeply , breathe out and be happy with who you are.

Video: This Is A CRAZY Place For A Slip and Slide. Wait Until You See It.

These guys and gals sure looked like they had a blast doing this one. This is not your average setting for a Slip and Slide.

If you’re going to pick an outstanding location to do a Slip and Slide, then this is it. They chose a spot where there’s a 50 foot drop off a cliff. Woah! Call them crazy or courageous, it does look like a helluva lot of fun.

It was shot on Lake Powell, near Padre Bay in Utah. At least they used environmentally friendly soap, because they sure used a lot of it!

If you like to swim to get fit, then this is certainly a crazy way to get into the water!

Perfect Is Highly Over-Rated.

So many of us striving to be perfect in this imperfect world. What is perfect anyways, because;

“You were born to be REAL

not to be PERFECT!

You are here to be YOU,

not to live someone else’s life.”

What the world defines as perfect is simply a creation of human minds. If you believe this and strive to be perfect as defined by the external world, you will only get disappointed and discouraged with yourself leading to a number of negative responses, sometimes even depression. So stop believing this lie that is being fed to you by others and be happy with being yourself.

As you work to get fit, be satisfied with whatever progress you’re making, even if it seems slow at times. Love your body in whatever shape it’s in, because your body is unique and no-one else can tell you how you’re supposed to look. Now go and be your imperfect beautiful you!

Wandering is good for the soul. There are many paths to the same destination and wandering will open new pathways in your life. Alternatively, if you wander without a destination in mind, you will discover new destinations in your life. Either way, wandering is a great way to discover yourself.

World’s Most Dangerous Hike? Watch This Video And Take A Heart-Stopping Walk!

Can’t wait for them to finish the renovations before heading over to Spain and dare to try what has been called “the world’s most dangerous pathway”? Then  watch this precarious virtual hike from the comfort of your browser.

Located along a steep gorge in El Chorro, the El Caminito del Rey  (the King’s little pathway), or Camino del Rey,  has fallen into serious disrepair and is being rebuilt starting this year (2014). Completed in 1905 and closed in 2000 by the Spanish government, hikers still make their way there and take their life in their own hands despite others having fallen to their deaths and fines for anyone caught there.

You can live vicariously through Daniel Ahnen’s eyes when he filmed his hike along this scary trail. He unfortunately slipped and fell to his tragic death into a gorge in 2011 during an Arwa Spire Expedition in the Indian Himalayas.

The views are undeniably spectacular, but would you really risk your life for this? Not me, but I guess some of us like the rush! A nightmare for some and a challenge to conquer for others, you’d be quite lucky if that vertigo doesn’t suddenly grab a hold of you.

What Your Mind Really Needs To Learn.

It often appears easier for us to learn new things that come from external sources. Turn your attention inwards and try this instead;

“Teach your mind to

Listen to what your

Body and spirit are saying.”

You can do this by trying things that bring your focus into yourself. If you like taking walks, go for a hike in the woods to get in tune with your inner self. A forest provides a great natural environment to help you get in touch with yourself. If you exercise and do workouts daily, slow everything down and pay close attention to all the movements you are making with your body. You’ll begin to realize that your body has a lot to say to you, plus your workouts will produce even greater results.

You can also teach your mind to do this with yoga and meditation. In yoga you will learn to bring your focus inwards and begin to move in ways that are in sync with your spirit. Sitting in meditation will bring your inner life into tight focus and give you the basis for being able to listen to your body and spirit.
